There’s a set of “soft sounds for gentle people” (sorta) in the middle, bookended by new stuff from The Proper Ornaments and Cold Beat. There is other new material from The Nots, Apache Dropout, The Coolies and Dark Matter. In short, there is much to like.

A single of the week for the wiry rebel girl rock of Nots
I’m a big fan of this record as well. There are some vocal histrionics you need to get comfortable with – and I’m quite comfortable – and the music is a wild ride of garage punk & panic pop. Another aces review from Dynamite Hemorrhage fanzine contributing editor Erika Elizabeth.
One of the many fantastic new bands that’s caught our ear of late are Memphis’ THE NOTS, who just put out their debut 45 on Goner Records. They’re captured cranking out some fast-n-bulbous off-kilter pop music live in concert here.
